Family weekend at Puy du Fou

Here you are! After having thought about discovering the Puy du Fou for a long time, you finally decide to organise your family weekend! Sleep in an unusual hotel, attend grandiose shows and live unique immersive experiences: young and old will be delighted. A change of scenery guaranteed!

Tips & tricks: how to prepare your family weekend at Puy du Fou?

You want to experience Puy du Fou with your family. You've already heard so much about it but don't really know what to expect and how to organise yourself? Find here all our tips and tricks to make your family stay an unforgettable experience.

Famille Puy du Fou

Le Puy du Fou offers 20 shows and activities every day, not to mention the discovery of authentic period villages and their passionate craftsmen, nor the privileged encounters you can have with our 1,500 animals. It is therefore impossible to do everything in one day. This is why we recommend that you opt for a 2 or 3 day visit. During your family weekend at the Puy du Fou, we advise you to alternate between the big shows, the immersive shows, the visits to the period villages and all the other activities.

No small savings: if you book your stay, you can benefit from discounts on all Puy du Fou tickets (up to 20%) and on your meals (up to 15%). You can book up to 72 hours before your expected arrival date.

Application Mobile Puy du Fou

For the most connected families among you, and/or the most environmentally friendly, we advise you to download the Puy du Fou mobile application (available free of charge on the App Store or Google Play) and to add your reservation to your personal access to obtain all your travel documents directly on your phone. In addition, thanks to its interactive map, the application will allow you to familiarise yourself with the many experiences offered by the Puy du Fou. Period villages, shows, nature areas, restaurants, services and photo shoots with our photographers will no longer hold any secrets for you! The application also offers a personalised programme generator, adapted to the length of your visit and your desires.

To make sure you don't miss any show, remember to arrive 30 minutes before the start of each performance. This will allow you to choose your seat and make the most of the show! We also offer Emotion Passes at €25 per day and per person, which will ensure you a privileged and reserved seat up to 10 minutes before the start of the performance.

The basics to pack for your family weekend at the Puy du Fou!

For those who love short 2 or 3 day trips or for those who are new to short stays, here is a checklist of essentials to pack for any situation during your weekend with children at the Puy du Fou!

Travelling back in time with little ones is no picnic! Is it raining and you haven't brought an umbrella? The sun is beating down and you can't find the sun cream in your bag? Between sunny days, cool evenings, showers or an insistent wind, you have to consider all situations. You'll need to pack a 21kg suitcase per person. Tip 1: Be aware of the weather forecast, bring comfortable and appropriate clothing and choose the shoes that are best suited to the 25km of trails in the park (flip-flops and pumps are not recommended for this destination).

A number of shows are outdoors, so don't forget your sunglasses, hats and caps. For the "airheads", you will find them in the Puy du Fou shops! If you are planning to attend one of our two night shows, we recommend that the more chilly among you bring a plaid or a little wool.

To keep a memorable souvenir of your original family weekend in the breathtaking scenery of the Puy du Fou, don't forget your smartphone, your charger - obviously - and why not an external battery! For photography lovers, leave your phone behind and bring your camera. The site is full of beautiful places to capture. And who knows, if your talents dazzle our teams, you could see your shots featured on our website or social networks!
